Kasey Nelson

Attorney

Kasey Nelson holds a double bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Notre Dame de Namur University, where her commitment to helping others first led her to study psychology. During an internship at Notre Dame, she worked alongside female attorneys practicing domestic violence law—an experience that left a lasting impression. Seeing these attorneys fight for their clients’ safety and futures inspired Kasey to pursue a career in law.
She earned her Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco in 2010. Though she was also on track to become a licensed therapist, she ultimately chose to fully commit to the legal profession, later earning a Master’s degree in Psychology to further strengthen her ability to serve clients with empathy and insight.
Kasey Nelson is a licensed attorney and an active member of the State Bar of California. She has practiced both criminal and family law, advocating for disadvantaged clients and families navigating high-stakes legal challenges. Her diverse legal background, combined with her education in psychology, allows her to approach each case with a unique blend of compassion and strategic insight.
As a member of The Wright Legal Team, Kasey brings a well-rounded and client-centered approach to family law. Her dedication to justice, resilience in the courtroom, and unwavering belief that “You are your best advocate—never give up, never surrender” make her a powerful advocate for the individuals and families the firm proudly serves.
